We were recommended to Arches my our pediatrician when my oldest daughter was in elementary school and starting to play basketball/trying to heal & prevent rolled ankles- both of our daughters were very athletic and involved in numerous sports throughout elementary, middle school & high school- anytime we had issues with feet/ankles we went to Hanz for recommendations. Fast-forward to college and our oldest daughters first half-marathon- during training her feet were going numb - once again we returned to Arches/Hanz and he did several tests, made recommendations & made her inserts for her shoes - PROBLEM SOLVED - she completed her first half-marathon!!

I would recommend Arches to anyone of any change for any foot/feet/ankle/knee/leg/hip/walking/running concern!!! He works with ALL AGES!! Anyone I've recommended has been pleased with their recommendations and treatment just as we were

They do stay pretty booked so don't expect a same day appt. Plan ahead.

omg I made 1 of the biggest mistakes of my (foot) life, I went to the Good Feet Store and paid way to much for some insoles that almost made me not be able to stand much less walk instead of going to ARCHES!!! I di not normally try to bash anyone or place but for what you pay for those insoles good feet store should be ashamed of theirselves... (I could go on & on about them) But instead after hardly being about to walk cause my feet hurt so bad I bit the bullet and went and told Arches what I had done, we went over my old insoles & evaluated my (ugly) feet, he said "I'm not doctor but I believe you have plantar fasciitis". They gave me information & stretchs to do to help it and some of the reasoning for getting it, but i truly believe its because of the insoles The Good Feet store sold me. After the evaluation then about 20-30 mins I walked out with brand new custom made insoles!!! I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! SO DONT THINK ABOUT RETIREMENT ANYTIME SOON HEINZ!!!

P T, We could have 15 No Return sign's in the Store and tell every customer that there are No Returns on certain shoes, and still they will come in and say they never heard about it and never were told about it (believe me, I talk from experience. We have a large enough sign right next to the cash register were you pay for the shoes and as you state, it also shows the Return policy on the receipt. We are a small business, we do not get special treatment from Shoe Manufactures as do large companies like Walmart. Walmart can take their $6 shoes back and it won't hurt them at all. You have to realize that I have to pay for the shoe, I pay shipping, we spent time with your fitting. If you want to bring back a shoe I can not sell the shoe again. (would you want to buy a used shoe?) Taos will not give me the money back! Why should I eat the cost, when the customer should be able to make an educated desision when they buy the shoe. We suggest footwear, the customer decides if they want to buy them. We can also adjust footwear by stretching the shoe for bunions, hammer toes etc. We are sorry we lost you as a customer but we are glad we could help your foot issues you had when you came in the first time for an evaluation. Not sure if Amazon or any other place can help you with that in the future.

I didn't even know this place existed until recently. For $40 you get a thorough exam of your feet. It has been forever since I've even had my feet measured by someone and this visit was way more than that! I learned things about my feet that I never knew. I even bought my first pair of Brooks tennis shoes right there. I loved the vibe, the music, and the no rush visit. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything at all. Definitely a must especially if you are having issues with your feet.

Would have a been 5⭐if there was a follow up call inquiring how my shoes are working for me, how my custom arches are working for me. This was a very expensive visit.

After a visit to our chiropractor, he recommended Dr. Heinz at Arches because my son had severely pronated feet causing issues with his posture, movements and gait. Taking action at a young age drastically aids his chances at improvement and both Dr. Heinz and Dr. Denegardt believe it will help his whole structure.

Dr. Heinz was very polite, very educational and completely thorough with his analysis and explained his findings in a way which was simple to understand to both myself and my son. He found inserts and shoes that would strengthen and develop muscles he was not using in order to build his arches. He needed narrow shoes built for pronation and special inserts. The shoes arrived in a week and they fit perfectly. Any adjustments are free. His services are out-of-pocket but very affordable and worth every penny!!

Heinz is absolutely wonderful. He was so helpful and thorough with my exam and we found a good combination that should work for me. He had to order my shoes and insoles, but they should be in within a week which is a great turnover time.

I’m so happy! I have been looking for a good pair of orthotics. I was referred here and drive all the way from Forth Worth. Best thing I ever did. I have spent thousands on other custom orthotics and none of them worked. This guy knows what he’s doing.

I am really disappointed with this store. What had always been a great experience in the past has become lack luster. I ordered two sets of lifts last Monday, for my boyfriend, and I was told they would be here Thursday. I went in Friday to pick them up and there was only one lift of each set. She said I'm sorry I must have misunderstood. She said the doctor is with a patient and I will call you when they are ready. It's now Tuesday of the next week and I have heard nothing. They make them in the store and take about 15 minutes in the past. Deeply saddened. Trying to use local businesses but honestly sometimes you have greater results online unfortunately.

I went in today just to see what kind of shoes they had, I was looking for running shoes. They helped me understand my feet and took time to explain things. They looked at my insoles, how I walked, and even took a print of both feet to show where my pressure points are. I had a running store tell me I overpronated but Lynn and Heinz showed me that I actually do not. They are wonderful people and it was a very pleasant experience and I did not feel pressured in the least. I highly recommend going to see them and take some time to talk to them.

Love my shoes! Got some Brooks sneakers which are super comfy and some Naot sandals as well. I've had them about two weeks now, and my foot pain has reduced significantly since wearing them. Also got the orthotic insert to help my arch and that was well worth it! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Exceptional staff! Went there to address my 7 year olds foot issue and they explained everything and made sense of his problem. The inserts we got are working well. They are great with kids and even helped me haul my one year old through the rain out to my car!

I have struggled for years with lower joint pain vs. still wanting to be an active person. With the help of this caring and knowledgeable team, I am slowly turning my small shoe wardrobe into supportive and pain free shoe options. It's is pricey for my budget, but worth it at the end of every day to not have foot and knee pain. Thank you Arches staff!

I was sent to Heinz at Arches 1 1/2 years ago with foot pain and toes that were trying to turn upward. Heinz examined and evaluated, outfitting me with larger oxfords and inserts. It was difficult at first, but about 10 months later my feet were better and the left hip and knee pain were gone. I have purchased 3 pair of shoes and extra inserts. So glad you are here for us, Heinz. Thank you!

Hienz always helps me( by appointment) This time he measured and took impressions of my feet two ways, videoed my gate, and watched me walk toward and away from him. I bought two pair of shoes which fit excellently. I wear ankle braces. He took extra time to fit them well. If you have problem feet; this is the place to go. You won't be sorry. I noticed they have popular name brand shoes. Heinz said my shoes were shot (worn OUT). Glad I bought two pair.

Five months ago, I received my initial foot assessment and pair of orthotic inserts. Since then, my knee and hip discomfort has all but disappeared. Mr Reichel and his staff are incredible! I've fitted a second pair of shoes so I won't have to switch my inserts and have also purchased a pair of orthotic sandals for more casual conditions.

Best orthotics ever! My feet were scanned, my gait was filmed. The orthotics that came are so much better than ANY of the 4 other custom orthotics I‘d had in the past. My doctor was recommending full ankle braces.
The correction is within the orthotic. My foot seemed to shift internally. My gait is much smoother, I can walk down stairs easily. No ankle pain! The orthotic looks like a nice insole.
The orthotics are custom made in Germany. There is a bit of a wait for them to come back.
My happy feet were well worth it. Could not be more satisfied!

No one cares for your feet like Arches! They sure know their stuff and will get you back on your feet, in comfort! I use the Sole (Med) orthotics in my workout shoes and that makes a huge difference doing high-impact exercise. I also have a thin set for dress shoes which allow me to go all day. The foot assessment which includes a walking and running analysis is so helpful to understand where your specific stress points are. The machine at Walmart doesn’t hold a candle to the specific individual attention and information you’ll get from Heinz at Arches. I’m so grateful to have them in our area!

I have been in ankle pain for over a year. My physician sent a prescription for custom inserts to see if I could get some relief. 3 weeks now and it's the fist time in over a year I have no pain. The staff are knowledgeable, take their time. I feel so good I bought a pair of Brooks so I could actually start working out again. I can't tell you the difference they have made in my life.

When I found Arches it saved my ranching career.  I’ve worn the shoes and customized inserts I purchased when they weren’t very fashionable, but they did good for me.
I am a livestock official,  a director of the Mohair council and President of the Mohair producers board, and I am able to continue to do my duties in the shoes and inserts I have from Arches.

For over a year, I have tried to find new athletic shoes, but they all hurt my feet. Finally, I decided that perhaps my feet and not the shoes might be the problem! My rheumatalogist diagnosed arthritis in my feet and my podiatrist referred me to Arches two weeks ago. Heinz and the staff were so friendly and really wanted to help me with my foot pain. Heinz fitted me with Sole Orthotics and they are wonderful. I wear them every day. Not only is the arthritis in my feet much better, but so is my knee pain. My feet and I thank you!

I tell everyone I know about Arches and how your feet are analysed, fitted and tips shown on how to lace and wear shoes for racing or if your feet are hurting etc.. I was fitted and at age 69 now I have completed 4 half marathons in one year with no blisters, no sores, no hammer toes. My 12 y/o grandson completed his 1st Half in December also with no problems after being analysed and fitted.. Because he is growing he needs to be analysed again soon to make sure he is in the right size shoe for his growing feet. We love the Reichls and what they do for the community of racers.. Thanks!

I am an avid runner, but a little over a year ago I began to experience increasing discomfort in my right ankle. The pain reached a point to where I could not walk without limping. After appointments with several different physicians, I was still in pain. The only guidance I had received was to take over-the-counter inflammatories, and to seek alternate forms of exercise. I was worried I would never run again.

Finally, I was advised to make an appointment at Arches to be fitted for shoes and insoles. I could not have been happier with my experience. Mr. Reichl allowed me to explain my condition, and took great care in making sure I received the care I needed. The customer service was top-notch as well.

After a few months of wearing my new shoes the pain began to subside, and I eventually was able to go on short runs. I recently purchased my second pair of shoes from Arches, and I feel almost 100% recovered. I am also better educated about how to properly care for my feet. I feel very fortunate to have found Arches. Thank you!”

Went to Arches last week to see what was up with an awful pain I had in my foot. Though Dr. Heinz is no diagnosing Dr, he knew just about EVERYTHING to fix it. I've been wearing my soles like he instructed and my feet feel SO much better! No more pain, no more sore tender areas, Arches ROCKS! :) Can't wait to go back to get my new shoes! Walked into Arches feeling horrible, walked out feeling 100% better! Thanks Arches!!!

I came into the store to get a prescribed orthotic for my four year old  daughter, Kendall.  We were very courteously and efficiently helped and got  just what was needed.  Mr Reichl did a great job of getting her fitted and she was very comfortable with him.  He offered very good advice and direction on shoes and how to help her with the orthotics.  It was a great visit at that point, but Mr. Reichl did not stop there.  I was dealing with significant plantar fasciitis for eight months and had seen several doctors, an acupuncturist and finally a chiropractor. Everything helped a little but nothing was really fixing the problem.  Mr. Reichl took a look at a pair of orthotics I had purchased through the chiropractor and in a few moments had adjusted those for me.  Within a day I could tell a difference and within one week, I was out running like the old days again.  I appreciated his level of concern, care and expertise both with me and my daughter. Thank you again for your help.

My teenage daughter decided she just 'had to have' a pair of Chacos.  Me, being the 'not-so-hip' mom, had no idea what they were.  We looked online, but weren't sure if they'd arrive in time. After some more searching, we found the "Arches" website. The Reichl's are wonderful people - very professional, but very friendly as well.  They notified us when their new shipment came - and it just happened to have the style my daughter wanted, in the perfect color.
